I’ve been the wood specialist for Cambridge Archaeological Unit’s Must Farm excavations since 2006. During this time, substantial wooden remains have been encountered. These have included an assemblage of nine dug-out boats from within a Bronze Age Palaeo-channel and an enigmatic palisaded settlement site that came to an end in a catastrophic fire.
